Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MBM Advisory ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit mbmadvisory.com or contact us through it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

MBM Advisory is operated by Bertrand Mommaerts, acting as a sole proprietorship (independent professional) established in Belgium. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Bertrand Mommaerts is the data controller.

Contact: b.mommaerts@mbmadvisory.com

[Registered business address and company/VAT number to be added once finalized.]

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit it through our contact form, or when you email us directly. This may include:

  • Full name
  • Company name
  • Email address
  • The nature of your enquiry and any message content you provide

We do not use cookies. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies or collect any personal data, and does not track visitors across websites or devices. It provides us with aggregate statistics such as page views and visitor counts.

3. Why we process your data

We process the data you submit in order to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, discuss and deliver our advisory services;
  • Maintain a record of business correspondence.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries directed to us, and, where an engagement follows, the performance of a contract.

4. Who else sees your data

Our contact form is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service that forwards your submission to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can read their privacy policy at web3forms.com/privacy.

Our email is hosted by Microsoft 365. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Where an engagement requires us to involve a trusted external partner (for example specialist legal or technical expertise), we will only share the minimum information necessary, and remain your single point of contact throughout.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain enquiry and correspondence data for as long as necessary to respond to you and, if an engagement follows, for the duration of that engagement plus any period required by applicable Belgian legal, tax or accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within a reasonable period, typically within 24 months.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request erasure of your data;
  • Object to or request restriction of our processing;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in Belgium, the Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at b.mommaerts@mbmadvisory.com.

7. International transfers

Our service providers (Web3Forms, Microsoft 365, Plausible, Netlify) may process data on servers located inside or outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on those providers' compliance with recognized safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.

This policy is provided as a general good-faith description of our data practices and does not constitute legal advice. It is intended to be reviewed and finalized with qualified legal counsel before relied upon as a binding compliance document.
